A Variety of Romanian-Cluj Pictures

Last weekend in Central Park - so green!

What a change a week makes!  Look at all of the fall colors this weekend - wow.

How Eastern European is this guy?  I love him.  And, of course, the ever-present green trash cans of Cluj.  Unlike Cambodia where there were NO trash cans, they are everywhere here.  Very nice, although I have no idea how they are emptied!

Speaking of ever-present, one of the many "street food" stands around town.  This is a fast food version with sandwiches, but many offer pastries instead (yum, my fav!).

Imagine, less than 10 years ago it was illegal to be gay in Romania and now there is a post for a gay film festival.  What a change!

The roasted chesnut stand less than a minute from where I live.  It smells pretty neat.  On this day a younger guy was running the stand, but often it is a cute, older couple.  Again, so European.

I love this picture!  I just wish I had gotten the top part of the window/mirror.

Another window view.  What a great contrast of the white inside with the fall colors outside.  Apparently it is a walnut tree and then a linden tree above it.  We don't see those colors in Texas or Arizona!

And, because no blog is complete without a self-posed picture with Albert Einstein....  :)

Yes, I would live here...please.  Though it would be miserable to heat in the winter.  My little apartment is hard enough to keep comfy.

In comparison to the older buildings in town, this one is surprisingly modern for this town.

This is the street that the building above is on - you can tell how strange that building looks on a street like this!

See, I am not the only person with massive amounts of cotton candy!  This made me want some, but I stuck to my healthy walk.  Another day, another ay.

A cute little semi-outdoor store.  Reminds me of the places in Cambodia, actually - a pretty unusual set up for here in Cluj.

And, a final shot of fall because it is just so pretty.
