I am leaving for Romania one week from today (on the 21st) and still have lots to do before that departure. I finally have all of my plane tickets to get from the U.S. to Cluj, which is great. I am going from DFW to Frankfurt to Bucharest to Cluj, leaving the 21st and arriving in the evening of the 22nd. The Fulbright people have arranged for a hotel and for someone to pick me up from the airport. I arrive around 10:30 at night, so I am very thankful for those arrangements. My grasp on the Romanian language is tenuous at best (if only I didn't have to conjugate verbs!!), so it will be nice that I don't have to find my own way upon arrival.
In other news, I was in Arizona last week to defend my dissertation. I passed with no revisions, so I am finished now! It is really hard to believe that I am finished and now have a Ph.D. - wow.....
